Elena Fanelli joined Beazley in November 2021 as a Claims Manager for the International, non-US Healthcare division. Elena’s career in insurance started in Italy, where she is originally from and where she worked for a Lloyd’s correspondent, binding Fine Art and Personal Accident risks. Since her move to London in the late 90’s, Elena has worked for a number of established Lloyd’s brokers, in various classes business, initially on the placing side (Fine Art) and then in claims (Fine Art and Species, General Liability, Property, Casualty and Healthcare), before moving to the Syndicate side in 2011, first at Marketform/Neon and then at Allied World, focusing on Healthcare. Elena has a pragmatic, pro-active and collaborative approach to claims handling and has experience in various jurisdictions; she is fluent in Italian and English, and also speaks some French, Spanish and German.
