Beazley appoints Sebastian Lotz as Aviation Underwriter, DACH

Beazley is set to add aviation insurance to its product portfolio for the DACH region.

Beazley, a leading specialty insurer, has announced the appointment of Sebastian Lotz to the newly-created role of Aviation Underwriter, DACH, with immediate effect. As Beazley continues to expand its business in Europe, Lotz will lead the development of Beazley’s aviation offering in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Based in Munich, he will report to Dirk Froese, Head of Aviation.

Lotz brings over 18 years’ experience in the insurance industry to Beazley, with deep expertise in the aviation market. Most recently, he was at Marsh, where he was responsible for the significant growth in the firm’s aviation business. Prior to that, he was Acting Head of Aviation, Germany, at AIG, where he was part of the DACH Senior Management Team and an authorised signatory.
