Beazley appoints Chris Merl as Country Manager, DACH

This newly created position demonstrates Beazley's commitment to the European market

Beazley, the leading specialist insurance provider, today announced the appointment of Chris Merl as Country Manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), effective immediately. Based in Munich, Merl will focus on developing Beazley's business in the region while also assuming the role of Head of Partner Engagement Manager, DACH. 

Merl joins Beazley following a distinguished 16 year career at Swiss Re, during which he held a number of senior positions including Head of Aerospace LATAM, Senior Solutions Manager, Senior D&O underwriter, and most recently, Senior Distribution Manager. 

Fluent in German, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, Merl brings impressive regional expertise to Beazley as well as an extensive network of broker relationships.
