Clients stay with us long term because of how our Full Spectrum Cyber continuously adapts and improves. Our claims expertise and guidance help you navigate the changing legal and regulatory environment.

A powerful combination of claims, underwriting and incident data coupled with Google’s technology delivers the ultimate, continuous protection for Google Cloud customers.

Why cyber insurance?

  • When a cyberattack hits, the costs can quickly spiral:

    • Handling the immediate breach, investigation and recovery.
    • Managing the aftermath: repairing brand damage, court costs, external consultant fees like IT security, PR, legal, and communications, as well as potential fines or penalties.
    • Keeping this expertise in-house or on retainer can be expensive.

Cyber insurance enables companies to transfer some of the financial risks associated with cyber threats to the insurer. Our policy covers you for:

  • Breach response costs: Coverages for expenses of breach response services due to an actual or suspected data or security breach.

First-party: Coverages against the direct costs associated with a cyber incident, breach or system failure.

Third-party: Coverages against claims made by customers, partners, or other third parties that are affected by a cyber incident.

eCrime: Coverages against the direct financial loss of funds due to fraudulent instruction or funds transfer fraud.

Tailored coverages for Google Cloud customers through Google Cloud’s Risk Protection Program:

  • Business interruption coverage for Google AI Services

  • Contingent bodily injury and property damage liability as a result of failure of Google Services

  • Trade secrets loss as a result of failure of Google Service

Availability

Full Spectrum Cyber for Google Cloud will initially be offered in the following countries:

  • US, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Israel

Additional countries will be added when available to eventually complete the offering globally.

How it works

  1. The client’s Google Cloud Administrator onboards their organization to Google’s Cyber Insurance Hub and configures permissions through the Google Cloud Console.
  2. The client runs a Cyber Insurance Hub report and reviews the results, optionally choosing to remediate any findings.
  3. If the client chooses to move forward, the client can quickly and easily send their cloud security report to Beazley and provide other required information about their organization for Beazley to process their application. When the report is sent, the client will be reminded to contact their broker to progress the process.
  4. The insurance broker will confer and advise the client, and will send the insurance submission to Beazley, requesting a quote. The submission may include a separate application, depending on circumstances. Clients who are 100% Google Cloud native, including critical assets, may be asked to complete an attestation instead of an application.
  5. Beazley will confer with the broker on whether any additional information is required, will underwrite the risk, and produce a quote to the broker.
  6. The broker, client and carrier(s) will work together to evaluate the quote and bind the policy.
