The use of green technology in the construction and ongoing running of energy-efficient buildings is being increasingly seen as environmental threats such as air pollution, loss of biodiversity and green space and the use of natural resources move to the forefront of thinking in the property and construction industries.
Technology may offer at least part of the solution with developments such as 3D printing revolutionizing the ways parts are designed and manufactured for the construction process, and the use of more efficient and environmentally responsible building materials become increasingly common place. Whilst the use of big data to track market trends and smart tech to effectively manage building functionality are gathering pace.
